Harrison - Arminta Higgins

Mrs. Minta Harrison, a former well known resident of Lebanon, died at
7 0'clock Saturday night at her home in Danville, Ill. Mrs. Harrison
......(can't read) four A>M. before her death and never recovered.
She was born in Thorntown, August 1, 1844, the daughter of John
Higgins, a pioneer resident of Boone County. Only July 3, 1856, she was
married to Dr. Thomas H. Harrison and they located in Lebanon. Dr.
Hrrison became editor of the Pioneer .....(can't read) in charge of that
paper until January 1, 1889. ...(can't read) after disposing of the
paper to ? F. McKey, Dr. and Mrs. Harrison edited and published the
(can't read) for two years. It was while a resident of Michigan City
that Dr. Hrrison died at Hattie Crmmd.
(Can't read) her son, John Harrison, acquired the Danville, Ill.
Commercial News, the (?) to that city for (?) and lived there since that
time.
Mrs. Harrison and her son travelled extensively, their journeys
included South America and a trip around the world, which they concluded
that May. They spent their winters in California. Both were in
.....(can't read).
She is survived by the son. Her (can't read), two sisters and one brother are deceased.
Mrs. Harrison was a member at the Methodist Church. THe funeral was
held at 3 PM Thursday at the St. James Methodist Church in Danville,
with Rev. Thomas Ewing, paster officiating. Burial was in the Danville
Cemetery.
