Funeral services for Mrs. Charles HARPER were held Friday morning at the Christian Church. Mr. and Mrs. Harper were married at Elmdale in Dec 1884 and lived in that vicinity until coming to Wingate 37 years ago where they have since resided and so have many friends and acquaintances. A large crowd attended the services. Rev. JE Fry preached the sermon and a quartet composed of Mrs. Blanche Menaugh, Mrs. Paul Miller, CL Hatton and Austin   Oxley sang. The pall bearers were: Gordon Barnett; Ernest Smith; Raymond Mitchell; Fern Henry; Hubert Irwin and Russell Mitchell. Two granddaughters were flower carriers.
