Mrs. Luella CLOUSER HANNAH widow of the late Hugh Hanna (sic) was found dead at her home on W. Main St. on Monday afternoon. Although a chronic sufferer from heart trouble, she was able to go to church Sunday morning and evening and was seemingly all right when her grandson stopped to see her on his way to school. On his way home in the evening he stopped again and found her lying dead on her bed. Death had evidently come painlessly. A short funeral service at the home on Wednesday morning was in charge of her pastor, Rev JO Carder. The body was then taken to Mansfield, Ill for burial by the side of her husband.
Mrs. Louella HANNAH was born in White Heath, Illinois Oct 5, 1861. She passed from this life at her home in Waveland Nov 20, 1939 at the age of 78 years 1 month and 15 days. She was married Nov 24, 1886 to Hugh V. HANNAH. To this union one son, Charles of Waveland was born. She is survived by her son and wife and their children, Russell of Menila, Raymond of Rantoul, Ill; Mrs. John Freed, Lafayette, Ind; Miss Lucile Hannah, W. Lafayette, Deloris, Junior and Robert Lee at home. Johnny Freed, a grandchild. Mrs. Hanna has 3 sisters living, Mrs. Alta and Maud Clouser of Chicago and two brothers, Ray and Emerson Clouser of Champaign. Mrs. Hannah was a member of the Methodist Church for many years. And was in her church on the last Sunday of her life. - kbz
