Herschel E. HAMPTON 81 Ladoga died 10 a.m. Monday in his home. Mr. Hampton was a retired farmer and factory worker. He served in the Army 1942-43. He attended New market schools. His memberships included New market Christian Church. He was born Oct 9, 1919 at Crawfordsville to Edward & Mary Ana Kessler Hampton. He married Margaret Inman. They divorced. He then married Ruth Laroka-Utterback Oct 14, 1944 at Crawfordsville. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Richard of Austin TX and Hershel Jr. EL Cajon, California; a borhter, bert Hampton, Waveland; 3 grandchildren and 4 greats. 3 sisters and 4 brothers are deceased. Funeral services are schedule for 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Powers & Priebe Funeral HOme, 315 S. Washington St with the Rev. Dale Baldwin offic.
