FLORA HAFFNER HAMPTON

Flora Mae Haffner Hampton born August 20, 1888 died January 13, 1916 aged 27 years 4 months 23 days. On June 20, 1906 she was married to Cecil B. Hampton to this union one daughter was born Lucile. Of the immediate family there live to mourn her death, husband, one daughter, father, two brothers, two half brothers and one half sister. To these may be added many other relatives and friends. She had not been well for quite awhile and since Christmas had suffered severely and on January 10 she was carried to the hospital where a few days later s he was operated on for appendicitis, death came the day after as a result of double pneumonia. The deceased became a member of the Presbyterian Church at an early age. In 1908 she transferred her membership to St. Jam es Lutheran Church where she was a faithful member at the time of her death. An obedient daughter, a loving sister and devoted wife a mother, a kind neighbor and friend, and we believe a noble Christian woman has pass ed to her reward. Be though faithful unto death and I will give those a crown of life.-- typed by kbz

Darlington -- Word was received here during the night that Mrs. Cecil HAMPTON 28,had died at the Methodist Hospital where she underwent an operation for appendicitis Wednesday. She was taken from Darlington to Indianapolis Monday and was very weak at the time. Because of the condition of her lungs it was necessary to postpone the operation until Wednesday. The body will be brought to Darlington. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Mrs. Hampton is survived by her husband and an 8-year-old -- typed by kbz
