Paul Hamm, Indianapolis businessman and a former Crawfordsville resident, died Wednesday afternoon in Methodist Hospital. Hamm, 62, had been hospitalized for over a month. For the last several years, Hamm was a principal supplier of small animals for the pharmaceutical firms of Indianapolis. He came to Indianapolis in 1943 from Crawfordsville where he had resided since his youth. While in Crawfordsville, he was employed as a barber. He attended Crawfordsville High School and while a resident here, was a member of the First Christian Church. Born in Montgomery County, he was the son of Lorenzo and Bessie Earl Hamm. He was married to Dorothy Willett, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Paula Jean Hamm, who lives at home; a brother, Russell Hamm of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Helen Bastion and Lois Rardin, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and an aunt, Rose Joel of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Burkhart Funeral Home in Greenwood, Ind. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, also at Greenwood. Friends may call at the funeral home.
