Hamm - Irvin

Irvin Hamm, 35, a former resident of this city died at a LaPorte hospita Thursday morning after a brief illness, according to word received by relatives Thursday. Mr. Hamm was born in Waynetown but had spent most of his life in Crawfordsville. He was a barber. He left Crawfordsville three years ago.
His wife, two sons, Robert and Fred, one daughter, Betty Jo and one sister, Mrs. George Douglas of Crawfordsville and a brother, Harold Hamm of Crawfordsville survive. His father, Lonnie Hamm of Catlin, Illinois also survives.
Mr. Hamm was born March 13, 1908, the son of Lonnie and Mary Hamm, the mother preceding him in death in 1924. He was married to Inez Hjmphreys of this city Aug 20, 1928. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at the Proffitt & Sons Mortuary with Rev. Russell Rice of Oxford officiating. Burial will be at Waynetown. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home as the body will be kept there preceding the rites. - kbz
