Edith Pearl Hamm., 83, of 705 Milligan St., died Wednesday morning at Culver Hospital. She had been ill for several weeks. A native of Ripley Township, she was born April 21, 1884, the daughter of John and Minerva Stonebraker Morrison. She married Iven Hamm Sept. 4, 1901. He preceded her in death in 1956. Mrs. Hamm was reared and spent many years in the Ripley Township area near Alamo before moving to Crawfordsville in 1924. She attended the old Bunker Hill School in Ripley Township. Mrs. Hamm was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Darrel Hamm of Waynetown and Byron W. Hamm of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Fyffe of the Country Club Road and Mrs. Harold Aldrich of Harbor Springs, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Smith of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Mabel MacLellan of Florissant, Mo.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. John Servies will officiate. Burial will be in the Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday.

Waynetown, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Edith P. Hamm, 83, died at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 25, 1967) at Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been taken Oct. 1 with a broken hip. Born April 21, 1844 in Ripley Township, Montgomery County, she was the daughter of John and Minerva Stonebraker Morrison. On Sept. 4, 1901 she married Iven Hamm who died May 5, 1956. She lived in Crawfordsville where she moved in 1924. She attended Bunker Hill School in Ripley Township where she was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Darrel of Waynetown and Byron William of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Pauline) Aldrich of Harbor Springs, Mich. and Mrs. Gordon (Ruby) Fyffe of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Smith of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Mabel MacLellan of Florissant, Mo. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be held Friday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with the Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
