Hamilton - Guy

Wednesday afternoon at New Ross some small boys were playing with a Midland handcar, and as a result, one of them, Guy Hamilton, received injuries which may prove fatal. They were running the car up and down the track, oblivious of the fact that at any moment the down express might come swooping around a curve and knock them into eternity, and were having all the fun imaginable. They sent the old car along at a merry clip, when from some cause the car jumped the track. The fact that a car could jump from such a well ballasted and even a track as the Midland rust streaks is what makes the accident unaccountable. Young Hamilton was so unfortunate as to fall beneath the wheels and received severe injuries. A deep cut was made in his back near the heart and it is feared that he may be seriously injured internally. Dr. Bronaugh was called and dressed the wound.
