HAMILTON- On the 5th inst., by drowning, Charles, son of William Hamilton, aged eleven years. On the day of his death, accompanied by two of his cousins, son of Mr. Willis Hamilton, aged respectively five and seven years, he went to Potato creek, a slight distance from the house, for the purpose of bathing. Charley went in beyond his depth and sank. His little cousins came out, put on his clothes and gave the alarm. His body was taken out by Mr. Wm. Mitchell, but his spirit had left it tenement of cloy and had gone to join that of his mother at the feet of Jesus who once said, "Suffer little children to come unto me and for bid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." I was called upon to preach the funeral sermon, which I did with a heart full of sympathy for the bereaved and weeping friends. After the sermon, opportunity was given to all, relatives and friends and classmates in the Sunday school, to look upon Charley for the last time on earth, who the previous Sunday was in their midst full of life and health - thanks to Kim H
