Samuel Ham, who is well known here, died at the County farm on Sun. night of pneumonia. He and his brother, Green Ham, were well known figures here for many years, the two always being together. Funeral services were held at Russellville on Tuesday morning. - kbz

Crawfordsville, Dec 23 – Death today shadowed plans for the holiday celebration of the inmates of the Montgomery County Poor Farm. Plans for the annual Christmas tree and exchange of gifts among inmates were abandoned following the death of Samuel Ham, 72. All of the inmates will give what little money they have for purchasing flowers for Ham. – s


Note according to his death record he was buried in Russellville, Indiana, son of Muhlenburg and Catherine (Proctor) Ham.  Born: July 19, 1853 Died Dec 20, 1925 – laborer.  Died of pneumonia with contributory problems of arteriosclerotic gangrene in left leg and foot. Dr. HA Kinnaman.
