HAM, Minnie
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 26 March 1897
With regret we record the death of Miss Minnie Ham, daughter of William and Jane Ham, granddaughter of Patrick Ham, who died a few weeks ago. Minnie was taken sick with measles the 14th of March and lived only four days. Her suffering appeared great, but she was unconscious almost from the first. All that loving friends and two doctors could do to save her life was done, but God called her to the spirit land, where she rests now from pain and sorrow.
The funeral services were held at the family residence, where an appropriate sermon was delivered by the pastor of the Christian Church, Rev. Brown, of which Minnie was a member, having united with the church March 12, 1895. Several of the young friends of Miss Minnie gave as a token of their respect and love many beautiful flowers. She was a stricken flower on a bed of roses and carnations. It is sad indeed to see one so young, with the bright, joyous world before her, stricken suddenly with disease and death. Minnie was born in Alamo, Dec. 31, 1879, departing this life March 19, 1897, aged 17 years, two months and 18 days. She leaves a father, mother, and two brothers, Ivan and Wilfred, and numerous friends to wait and pray. - thanks muches to S for all her awesome work on this obituary listing
