Linnie V. Hallett, the daughter of Felix and Elizabeth Ellen Clodfelter, was born March 26, 1876. She grew to womanhood in the community in which she lived at the time of her death. On November 24, 1897 she was united in marriage to John Hallett, who departed this life on August 22, 1942. To this union were born on daughter, Mrs. Mabel B. Clore and one son, Clifford G. Hallett. Early in life she was united with the Wallace Lutheran Church in which she remained a loyal and faithful member until the end. For a number of years she had been in failing health. She had been grief stricken following the death of her husband and lgoed for the day when they would be united again. On February 12, 1944 she was admitted to the Culver hospital where all medical aid possible was administered - in vain. She was a faithful wife and loving mother. Her life was filled with deeds of kindness and sacrifice for her relatives and friends. Those who survive, in addition to the ! son and daugther are: two grandchildren: Audrey E. Clore and John B. Hallet, a son-in-law, Everett Clore; a daughter-in-law, Mary Katherine Hallett, a brother, Guy E. Clodfelter, a sister, Cora Clouse, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. (rest cut off - sorry) - kbz

Mrs. John HALLETT, mother of CG Hallett, died Tuesday morning at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. Mrs. Hallett was a life resident of Jackson Township and had lived in the present home the past 41 years. She was a member of the Phanuel Lutheran Church and had been active in church affairs most of her life. She was a charter member of the Livengood Ladies Aid Society. Sirviving are a daughter, Mrs. Everett Clore, of near Wallace; a son, Clifford Hallett; two grandchildren John Hallett and Miss Audrey Clore; a brother, Guy of Danville, Ill and a sister, Mrs. Cora Clouse of Wallace. Funeral service were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Phanuel Lutheran Church near Wallace. Reverend Turney of Indianapolis was in charge. Burial in Lutheran Cemetery.
