Alva Hallett, 95, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday in Lane House Nursing Care Cetner, where he had resided the past three years. Mr. Hallett was a retired farmer in the Alamo area. He was 50-year member of Alamo Masonic Lodge 144. He was a member of the former Alamo Methodist Church and attended Alama Christian Church. He was educated at Wallace. Born October 6, 1885, in Ripley Township, he was a son of Elijah and Rebecca Newkirk Hallett. He was married in 1905 to Stella Hamm, who preced him in death. In 1954, he was married to Ina Elmore, who also preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Paul Leslie of Alamo; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a nephew, Herman Hallett of Anderson. he was preceded in death by a ason and five brothers. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Bur. in Waynetown Masonic Cem. Friends may call at the funeral home afte 4 p.m. Tuesday with Masonic rites given by the Alamo Lodge at 8 p.m.
