Walter S. Hall, who was brought from his home in Washington Township to the Pleasant Grove House last week, is in a critical condition. The latter part of the week Drs. Mause, of Indianapolis, and Hawk, of Thorntown, performed an operation on his head, lifting a portion of the skull. The operation was successful, but a diseased condtion of the brain was discovered which left no hope of his recovery. Mr. Hall is a well-known farmer and stock raiser, and a son-in-law of Hon. John Higgins, of Washington Township. Later - Mr. Hall died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral to be under auspices I.O.O.F, but time not set.
