Waynetown - Thomas Edgar (Ed) Hall, 78, retired Montgomery County farmer, died Wednesday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where he had been a patient since Sunday. He had been in failing health since last May and seriously ill three weeks.
Born Dec 14, 1876 on a farm in Ripley Township, Mr. Hall was the son of William and Elizabeth Bowman Hall. The farm on which he was born had been owned by the Hall family since it was originally entered,
Mr. Hall who retired from farming six years ago had lived in Waynetown since. He married M. Josephine McMains, a trained nurse, Dec 14, 1919. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Surviving are the widow; a son, Charles F. Hall, Rt 1, Waynetown; two grandchildren, Vicky Lynn Hall and Robert Glenn Hall; an adopted niece, Mrs. Fay Norman of Venice, Fla and a sister, Mrs. Lula Barrett of St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a son, Capt. Robert T. Hall who died in England in 1944 while in service with American Forces; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in the Servies Funeral Home at Waynetown. Burial will be at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Rev. John R. Servies and Rev. Homer E. Cole will be the officiatnig ministers. Friends may call at the funeral home.
The family requests that donations to the cancer fund take the place of flowers. =kz
