VEEDERSBURG -- Russell Haas, 77, 6431 Jefferson Ave., Hammond, died Monday in St. Margaret Hospital at Hammond. He had been a patient one week. Mr. Haas was a retired employee of Standard Forging Co. He had been a resident of Hammond the past 40 years. He was born and reared in Veedersburg, a son of Luther and Celia Gott Haas. He was married to Grace Bryon. Surviving with the widow are a son, Gene Haas of Winamac; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Bingaham of Lansing, Ill., and two brothers, Walter and Roy Haas, both of Veedersburg. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Fishero Funeral Home at Veedersburg with burial in the Rockville Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-10 p.m. Tuesday at the C. J. Huber Funeral Home at Hammond and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fishero Funeral Home. -- typed by Walt W
