Attica – Forest G. Haas, 85 of 105 Edgewood Dr, Attica, died at 3:40 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Danville, Ill. He had been in ill health the past three weeks. Born in Newtown (note: Aug 20, 1898) he lived in Lafayette several years and at Route 4, Attica ten years, moving into Attica in September. He was first married in Covington to Rebecca Zink and she died in 1933. He later married Lena Fay King who died in 1955. His third marriage was in 1960 to Emma Marie Dill who survives. Mr. Haas was an inspector for Pennsylvania Railroad for 31 years. He was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church, Independence. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Maxine Craig of Ajo, Ariz; two stepsons, Ancil Dill of Attica and Lawrence Dill of Rensselaer; one step daughter, Mrs. Esther Moore of Williamsport and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Kendall of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ruth Blacketer at Dayton, Ohio.-kz
