Wingate – Darrell Lee Haas, 45, a Wingate businessman died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. He had been ill several months. He lived at 69 Tranquil Trail, Crawfordsville. Mr. Haas was co-owner of Haas Brothers Trucking Co of Wingate. Born April 14, 1941 in Wingate, he lived here until 1970. He was a 1959 graduate of Coal Creek Township HS. He was married to Joan Young, Aug 7, 1966 in Miami, Fla. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and National Guard. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Marie Haas of Crawfordsville; his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Haas of Crawfordsville; one brother, Junior Haas of Wingate; a sister, Mrs. Alta Jean Essick of North Salem; and two step sisters, Mrs. Pat Whitaker of Chalmers and Mrs. Allen (Reva) Lyon of Linden.

Interment Pleasant Hill cemetery, Wingate. Memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville. Enveloped at the funeral home.
