Charles W. Gruensfelder, RFD 6, Crawfordsville, a resident of the community for the past 22 years, died at 5:30 o'clock Monday morning. He was 72 years of age. Mr. Gruensfelder, son of Philip and Mary Fisher Gruensfelder was born Oct 30, 1877 in San Jose, Ill. Mr. G was twice married. He was first married in Illinois, his wife dying in November 1917. He married here Anna Elizabeth Sanders July 29, 1939. The widow survives, together with two brothers, John and Louis Gruensfelder, both of San Jose; a step daughter, Mrs. TD Wilson of South Gate, Cal and two step grandsons, Welden and Bruce Scott with their mother in South Gate. Mr. Gruensfelder had been engaged in business as a distributor of mineral water since coming to Montgomery County to reside. Previously in Peoria, Ill where he resided many years, he had been engaged in the canning business, had conducted a grocerty store and had also been a mineral water distributor. Mr. Gruensfelder had 3 brothers to die in infancy and two other brothers, Henry and Philip also preceded him in death. He was a member of First Christian Church in Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the residence on Lafayette Road to pay respects. Services will be Tuesday 10 o'clock in charge of Rev. Paul E. Million, First Christian Church pastor. The body will be taken to San Jose, Ill following service here and service will be there at the home of his brother, Louis Gruensfelder at 2 o'clock Wed afternoon in charge of Rev. Oliver Lee. Burial in San Jose cemetery.
