Source: Waveland Independent, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana, July 21, 1955

Miss Anna GRIMM, 68, resident of this community for the past six years died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of her brother, Charles F. GRIMM, near Waveland. Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. at the Machledt Funeral Home with Rev. Grover DeNeal officiating. The body was then taken to Chicago where services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Graceland Cemetery Chapel. Miss Grimm had been ill for 7 years and seriously ill for the past six months. She was born Aug 29, 1868, at Athison, KS the daughter of Franz and Bertha Boothe Grimm. She attended the public schools at Athison and about 1900 she opened a millinery shop in NY City. When her family moved to Chicago in 1914, she went there and remained until her brother moved to Waveland in 1949. She was a member of the Peoples Church, Chicago. She was active for many years in the Women's Club of the Town & Garden Apartments in Chicago. The survivors include the brother, Charles at whose home she died; a sister, Mrs. JJ Koch of Chicago; and Mrs. Robert E. French, St. Louis.

Note: If she is born in 1868 she'd be way older than this so imagine it's 1888 or 1898 to die in 1955 - nope, can't be that either as it says she opened a milinery shop in NY City in 1900 - hmmmmm - kbz
