Funeral services were held Saturday for William S. Grimes, age seventy-four, an Indianapolis resident thirty-five years, who died Thursday in his home, 3058 Station Street. He had been ill three weeks. Born May 15, 1868, at Alamo, he had been a cornet soloist in his early life, turning to general contracting after moving to Indianapolis. A member of the Masonic Lodge and Christian church at Alamo, he was the husband of the former Miss Jennie Lindsey, whom he married at Alamo fifty years ago. Two of their six children and Mrs. Grimes were killed in an automobile accident in 1915. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ruby B. Jordan, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Pauline Lewis, Columbus, O.: a son, Louis Grimes, Huntington Beach, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Mable Titus, Crawfordsville, and a brother, Guy Grimes, Los Angeles. - kbz
