Ralph B. Grimes, 76 of 2009 N Salisbury St West Lafayette died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital where he had been a patient since June 13. He entered the hospital with a heart ailment on May 28 stayed until June 3 and then returned June 13.  He was born in Crawfordsville and was married to Mary Pop who died in 1953. He was married to Ruth Gran in 1955. She survives. He was a traveling representative for the Lehigh Cement Company for 30 years, retiring 12 years ago. He lived in West Lafayette for 30 years. In Crawfordsville he was owner-manager of a theater. He served in the Navy in WWI.  He was a member of the Federated Church. Surviving with the widow are a stepson, Keith Gran of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harold Whitlock of Marietta, Ohio and two brothers, Fred P. of Crawfordsville and Montie of Daytona Beach, Florida. – kbz

Grimes, Ralph B. – Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Eikenberry Funeral Home. Services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in funeral home, Rev. William Andrews and Rev. Dr. Francis W. Trimmer officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Crawfordsville. Surviving are six stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. – kbz
