Bessie J. Griggs, 90, Crawfordsville died 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in St. Clare Medical Center. Mrs. Griggs was a homemaker and member of Ladoga Nazarene Church. She attended Carpentersville School.

Bessie J. Griggs, 90, Crawfordsville died 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in St. Clare Medical Center. Mrs. Griggs was a homemaker and member of Ladoga Nazarene Church. She attended Carpentersville School.
She was born Sept 17, 1913 at Todd, Ky to James A. and Fanna Adams Gill. She married Clifford H. Griggs on Oct 21, 1931 at Ladoga. He died July 28, 1972.
Survivors include a son, Harold, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Lela Hanson, Crawfordsville and Marie Lowe, Waveland; a sister, Beulah Griggs, Mace; a brother, Jack Gill, Salsbury; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
A brother and a sister are deceased.
Graveside services are scheduled 11 a.m. Thursday in Waynetown masonic Cemetery with Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. There will be no calling. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville is in charge of arrangements.
