WAYNETOWN, Ind. -- Ralph W. Griffith, 83, a resident in the home of Sarah Small in Waynetown since 1952, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday (July 24, 1978) at his home. He formerly had been a patient at the Danville Veteran Administration Hospital since 1918. He was a veteran of World War I. Born Nov. 22, 1894, in Topeka, Kan., he was the son of William and Belle Welsh Griffith. Survivors include a brother, Harold of Bourbonnais. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. The Rev. Stephen Malone will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before services at the funeral home.--waw

Waynetown - Ralph Griffith, 83 of Waynetown, a disabled veteran of World War I died at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the home of Sarah Small where he had been living since 1952.  Mr. Griffith was born in Topeka, Kan on Nov 22, 1884 a son of William and Belle Welsh Griffith.

Surviving is a brother, Harold of Bourbonnais, Ill.

Services are set for 11 a.m. Friday in Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Stephen Malone officiating.  Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
