Lee Oren Griffin, Sr. 57, of 105 E. College died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was an electrician and for many years operated the service department at the Coca - Cola Bottling Co. Born in Crawfordsville Aug 1, 1908, he was a son of Sim and June Watson Griffin. He attended local schools. He was married Nov 25, 1961 to Betty Yeley at Peoria. Ill. Mr. Griffin was a member of Fremont Street Baptist Church. Surviving are the wife; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Bell Gibson of Orlando, FL; Mrs. Sharon Griest of Crawfordsville and Lana Lee Griffin at home; 4 sons, Lee Oren Jr of New Market and Clayton Eugene, Clarence Otis and Oren Pete all at home; two brothers, Roy of Indianapolis and Darrell of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Carroll of Waynetown and Mrs. Eunice McCracken of Evansville and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Fuenral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m Wednesday. Revs. Howard Miller & Lee Russell will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
