Elizabeth Griffin Succumbs in Home Mrs. Elizabeth Griffin, 80, widow of Samuel Griffin, died Saturday morning at her home, 308 Scott St. Born at Advance, Mrs. Griffin was the daughter of Hiram and Sarah Davis. She married Samuel Griffin, July 4, 1897. Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church and was active in the work of the church for many years. She attended school in Advance. Surviving are a brother, Rev. W. O. Davis, Nashville, Ark., a sister, Bertha Davis, 308 Scott St., and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mae McNeeley Kessler. Funeral services will be held a 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Andrew McMullen will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.
