William B. GUTHRIE, 55, principal of the Bloomingdale grade school died at his residence, Gobbler's Knob, on US 41 at 1:00 Tuesday afternoon, Dec 16, 1958. Mr. Guthrie also had taught a recent years at Montezuma and Reelsville. Mr. Guthrie was reported to have become ill Friday night and had appeared to improve. During Monday night he again suffered a heart seizure. For many years, Mr. Guthrie operated the Inn at Turkey Run State park and is credited with having helped built the establishment into the popular retreat it has become. The body was taken to the Davies Funeral Home, Marshall. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 at the Friends Church in Bloomingdale. Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, Laura, a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Graeber of Crown Point; 3 sons, George of Pasadena, California; Bowman at Crawfordsville and Joseph at home. - typed by kbz
