Jessie Helen GRIDER, 88, piano and music teacher for many
years in the New Market vicinity, died at 6:54 a.m. Saturday in
Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she had bee a patient for
four days following a stroke suffered last Tuesday. Born May 16,
1868, near New Market, Miss Grider was the daughter of William H.
and Emile GRIDER. She had resided in New Market or New Market
neighborhood all her life. She held membership in the New Market
Christian Church. Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Noble
TREXLER of near New Market and Mrs. Frances JENKINS, Long Island,
NY and two nephews, W. Hinton Grider, a high school teacher in
Crawfordsville and Dr. FW Eckert of Indianapolis. Funeral
services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Noble Reeves
Funeral Home, New Market with burial in Masonic Cemetery,
