Waynetown, Indiana -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home for Raymond J. Gray 52 of Waynetown Rt 2. He died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Sept 13, 1971 at the Indiana University Medical Center. He had undergone brain surger Sept 7. The Rev. Lester Miles and the Rev. Hugh duley will officiate. Burial will be in the Wallace Lutheran Cemtery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 4 p.m. Tuesday Masonic services will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Born April 15, 1919 in Jackson Township in Fountain County, he was the son of Homer V. and Agnes Weir Gray. He was married Jan 16, 1945 to Edith Marie Sowers of Wallace, who survives. Mr. Gray had farmed in the area all of his life and for the past 2 1/2 years he had been employed with the service department at Purdue. He graduated from Wallace in 1936. He was an ordained elder in the Alamo Christian Church and past master and 31-year member of the Alamo Masonic Lodge 144. He also was a member of the Indianapolis Scottish Rite Valley as a 32nd degree mason. Survivors also include 3 sons; Lt. John D. Gray in the AF in Kansas; Patrick L a student at Purdue and Kenyon W. at home; a brother, Leslie Weir of near Alamo an aunt and several nieces and nephews.
