VEEDERSBURG -- Homer Gressmire, 73, a life-time resident of this community, died at noon Wednesday at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown. He had been a patient there for two weeks and had not recovered from surgery performed six months ago. Born Feb. 1, 1884, the son of Josiah and Nancy Ellingwood Gressmire, he had never married. Surviving are a brother, Joe of New Castle and a half-brother, Clifford of Newport. He had worked for the New York Central Railroad and later for the Light and Water Dept. here. Funeral services will be held at the Fishero Funeral Home, 2 p.m., Friday with Rev. Samuel Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
