Waynetown-- Mrs. Virgie Grenard, 61, died Sunday night at her home, a mile and a half north of Waynetown following an illness of 16 months with heart ailment. Born Nov 9, 1892, in Coffeyville, Kansas, Mrs. Grenard was the daughter of Charles and Emma Myer Wood. When she was one the family moved in 1893 to Fountain County, Indiana. Mrs. Grenard was married Sept 4, 1917 to Arnet P. Grenard. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church and long active in church work. She was a past president of Delta Alpha Class and also of Ladoes Society and a member of the Mission Circle of the church. Mrs. Grenard also help membership in Waynetown Chapter OES and Pi Mu research Club. Survivors inlude her husband, 3 sons, Robert of Lafayette, Richard and Donald of Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Florence Shade of Hillsobor; four brothers, Marvin Wood of Plymouth; Forest Wood of South Bend; Henry Wood of Waynetown and Gerald Wood of Warsaw and 5 grandchildren. Mrs. Martha Harper of Crawfordsville is an aunt. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wed in Grenard Funeral Home in Waynetown in charge of Rev. Harvey Burns; burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
