Clarence Grenard, 68, former, resident of the Hillsboro vicinity, died at his home in Crawfordsville Sunday after having been in failing health for several months. He was a former farmer, dairyman, and carpenter.
Born Dec. 26, 1889, the son of John Elston and Carrie Westfall Grenard, he was married to Georgia Payn, March 14, 1930. A veteran of World War I, having served in France. A member of the Waynetown Masonic Order; American Legion and Mt. Zion E.U.B. Church and a former member of the Waynetown Baptist Church.
Surviving besides the widow are two sisters, Mrs, Hazel Alston of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Naomi Fletcher of Mace.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with the Rev. Henry H. Karg, pastor of the Mt, Zion EUB Church in charge and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - jz
