Born Oct. 28, 1940 in Boonville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Basil Redmon and Dea Dawson Redmon.
Ms. Greenlee graduated from Boonville High School in 1959. She earned a Bachelor of Science at Oakland City College and Master’s degree in English from Depauw University.
Ms. Greenlee worked several places: she was a first grade teacher at Mt. Zion; worked at the Crawfordsville Public Library; was a research assistant to Dr. Jim Barnes at Wabash College; administrative assistant to the Union Township Trustee; social services director at Hickory Creek and Williamsburg Nursing Homes; and teaching aide for children whose parents studied for their GED.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, where she showed her great sense of humor, joking with her children. She was a dedicated pianist for over 35 years, most recently at Smartsburg Christian Church, where she was a member. She was dedicated to her faith and the power of prayer. She read mysteries, spy thrillers, and if she wasn’t home, she was at the Library.
Survivors include her son, Tab (Heather) Greenlee of Middletown; daughter, Annie (Mark Lowe) Davis of Crawfordsville; son, Jason (Jodi) Greenlee of Waynetown; daughter, Amy (Will Ferretti) Greenlee of Baltimore, Maryland; granddaughter, Taylor Beck of Pettisville, OH; five grandsons, Zach Ordway of Wauseon, OH; Calyb Greenlee of Middletown, Brandon Cummins of Crawfordsville, Zachary Davis of Crawfordsville and Kristoffer Greenlee of Waynetown; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Greenlee of Waynetown; two great-granddaughters,
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jacquelyn Sue Redmon; and grandson, Joshua Cummins.
Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services begin at 1 p.m., led by her son, Pastor Tab Greenlee. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.

Elaine Greenlee, 79, of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday afternoon in her daughter’s home.
Born Oct. 28, 1940 in Boonville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Basil Redmon and Dea Dawson Redmon.
