Mrs. Esther Mae Green, 49 of Indianapolis, a former resident of Covington and Newtown, died Saturday (Oct 24, 1970) at the Methodist Hospital there. She had been a patient one day and had been ill a year. Born June 5, 1921, at Newtown, she was the daughter of John and Alta F. Martin Macy. She was married June 7, 1947, to Fred A. Green , who survives. Mrs. Green had resided in Indianapolis for the past 23 years. She was reared in Covington and graduated from Covington High. She had formerly been employed at the Ben Franklin Store in Covington. Other survivors include her mother of Covington' a daughter, Mrs. Prenciss Diann Goodman of Indianapolis; two brothers, Russell Macy of Fithian, Ill., and Kenneth Macy of Leominster, Mass.; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother and her father. Services Wednesday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Black officiated. Burial in the Stearns Cemetery near Muncie.
