Lorene Elizabeth Gray, 91, Wallace died 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville. Mrs. Gray retired as a cashier from Kroger, Crawfordsville and farmed with her husband at Wallace. Her memberships included Friends Church of Bloomingdale and Retailers-Clerks Union at Kroger. She was a Marshall HS graduate. She was born March 22, 1912 at Fountain County to Jake and Anna English Swaim. She married Frank A. Gray on Nov 28, 1935 at Montgomery County. He died July 30, 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Kennedy, Wallace; a brother, Lloyd Swaim, Neenah, Wis; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A daughter, Phyllis Wethington died in 1960. A grandchild is also deceased. A memorial service is scheduled 3 p.m. Saturday in Sterling Christian Church with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. A dinner will follow. A private graveside service will be held earlier. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Sterling Christian Church or Friends Church of Bloomingdale with enveloped provided at the service. - kbz
