John Harvey Gray, son of Abner and Sarah Gray, was born in Butler County Ohio, Dec 19th 1823; died November 2nd 1901 aged 67 years 10 months 13 days. He was married to Barbara Bowman of FOuntain County, Indiana March 10, 1858. To them were born seven children: Sarah; Anna; Abner; George and Joseph and two dying in infancy. The mother died Sept 15, 1890. John H. Gray united with the United Brethren CHurch while young afterwards with the Chrisian Union Church and remained a member of that church until death. He was a good man in the community, a good neighbor, ready and willing at any time to help one in need. The funerla services were held at the family residence at 10 o'clock Monday morning, conducted by the Rev. F.K. Daugherty of Yountsville, interment at Wesley Cemetery - transcribed by kbz.

He was married to Barbara Bowman, of Fountain County, Indiana, March 10, 1858, to whom were born seven children, Sarah, Annie, Abner, George and Joseph, two dying in infancy. The mother died Sept. 15th, 1890.
