HILLSBORO — Warren M. Graves, 75-year-old retired farmer, died at his home near here at 2:30 p. m. Monday. He had been in declining health for more than a year. Born at Ladoga May 15, 1884, he was a son of Martin C. and Permelia Mount Groves. He attended Wingate High School and the Crawfordsville Business College. He was married to Mary Frazier of Hillsboro Aug. 24, 1904, at Covington, and their entire married life was spent on the farm where Mr. Graves died. He was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, a past master of F&AM Lodge 385 and past worthy patron of Fern Chapter OES, a charter member of the Cain Township Farm Bureau, and was serving as Fountain County Farm Bureau chairman when the national cornhusking contest was held at Newtown in 1935. Mr. Graves was the oldest of a family of four brothers and a sister, and he was the last survivor. Predeceasing him were Mrs. Lulu Alexander of California and Ward of Terre Haute, Dr. Fred W. of Albany, N. Y., and Jess of Waynetown. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Miss Marie Graves, in 1934. Surviving him are the widow and a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Warren of Waynetown. Funeral rites are set for 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Crumley Funeral Home here, with Rev. Homer Cole officiating and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p. m. Tuesday.

Warren M. Graves, 75, a prominent Fountain County retired farmer, died at his home near Hillsboro at 2:25 pm. Monday.  He had been in declining health for more than a year.
He was born at Ladoga, Ind., May 15,1884, the son of Martin C. and Permelia Mount Graves.  Attended Wingate High School and Crawfordsville Business College.
He was married to Miss Mary Frazier of Hillsboro, August 24, 1904 at Covington and all of their married life was spent on the farm where he died.
Mr. Graves a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, a past worshipful master of F.& A.M. Lodge 385 and a past worthy patron of Fem Chapter Order of Eastern Star, of Hillsboro.  He was a charter member of the Cain Township Farm Bureau and was serving as Fountain County Farm Bureau chairman at the time the National Corn Husking contest was held at Newtown in 1935.
Preceding him in death was a daughter, Miss Marie Grave, who died in 1934.
Survivors are the widow and one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Warren, of Waynetown, nieces and nephews and one cousin, Howard
Benjamin of Kokomo.
Funeral services were held at Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Homer Cole officiating and burial in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.  - jz
