Graves - Ruth Hybarger

Ruth Graves, daughter of Samuel and Charlotte Denman Hybarger, was born on a farm near Kingman, Indiana November the 20th, 1890. Here she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to Lee V. Graves. After their marriage they began housekeeping near Alamo, Indiana, where they resided for some time During the war period she resided in Watertown, New York and later, when her health failed her, she spent some time in Denver, Colorado. Later she and her husband resided in different places in Pennsylvania and while residing in Pittsburg she was taken seriously ill and was taken to the Presbyterian Hospital in that city where she was operated on July the 5th. After the operation she seemed to be getting on nicely and it was only a short time before her death that she became alarmingly ill. Her relatives had been notified of her condition and they hastily started for Pittsburg arriving a few minutes after she had passed in to the Beyond, on Wednesday at nine o’clock at the age of 38 years, 8 months and four days, leaving to mourn, her husband, one daughter, Charlotte, two sisters, Mrs. Lola Cramer, Mrs. Mary Clements, one brother, all living in or near Kingman, many other relatives and a host of friends. When a young girl and under the pastorate of Rev. Fife she united with the Kingman Christian Church and continued a member of this church to the end. Her death was untimely, but she has paid the price allotted unto all mankind and has gone unto her reward and may peace be unto her departed soul. – jlr
