Wednesday at Thorntown Mrs. Lem Graves, a cousin of Mrs. Will Armstrong of this city, fell while carrying a lighted lamp. The lamp exploded and Mrs. Graves was deluged with the burning oil. She was terribly burned and soon after died of her injuries

Thorntown Ind June 23 - Last night Mrs. L.L. Graves of this plkace was awakened in answer to a telephone call. While she was descending the stair __ at her home to the first floor, carrying a lamp in her hand, her foot caught in her night robe and she fell to the bottom. The lamp which she was carrying was broken and instantly she was a mass of flames. She called for assistance and several neighbors rushed in and extinguished the fire, but not until Mrs. Graves was so badly burned that death resulted shortly after midnight.
