Mrs. Lucy A. Graves, widow of Joseph Graves, died at her home in Linden at 1:20 o’clock Monday afternoon from the infirmities of old age. She was born in 1829, and at the time of her death was 86 years, 11 months and 16 days old. Mrs. Graves was well known in and about New Richmond, for many years having resided on a farm northwest of Sugar Grove. She had lived the greater part of her life in this county. She is survived by two daughters and one son. The funeral occurred at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning from her late home in Linden, conducted by Rev. HD Dick of the New Richmond ME Church.  The interment will be made in the New Richmond cemetery. – kbz

Lucy Anna Kendall, daughter of Samuel and Sarah Kendall, was born May 3, 1829, in Adams county, Ohio; and after an illness of nine weeks passed away at her home in Linden, April 19,1915, at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 16 days. On December 21, 1847, she was married to Joseph Graves, who died October 16, 1890. To this union were born six children, three of whom are deceased, and three surviving, namely, Mrs. America Archey of Thorntown, Mrs. Sarah Hartman of Anderson, and W. E Graves of Jones City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Graves united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Sugar Grove about 63 years ago. She has been waiting patiently for the time of her translation. - kbz
