Veedersburg— Edward Grady, 74, a retired rural mail carrier and police officer and life resident of the Veedersburg community, died at 9 p. m. Wednesday (Apr. 4, 1951) at the Small Nursing Home at Waynetown following a stroke suffered a week ago. He had been a patient at the nursing home about six weeks after breaking his collar bone in a fall. Mr. Grady was born Dec. 1, 1879 on a farm near Veedersburg the son of Garrett and Emily Isley Grady. He was married in 1909 to Ida Little who preceded him in death in February 1943. Surviving are three nephews, Ray Grady of Phoenix, Ariz., Gerald Grady of Veedersburg and William Grady of Yeddo. He was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church and the Veedersburg Masonic lodge. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home where it will remain for services at 2 p. m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Bonebrake Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
