Mrs. Sarah Ann Gould, 81 years old, wife of Grant Gould, died Thursday afternoon at her home, 1104 West Main Street. She had been seriously ill two weeks. A life resident of Montgomery county, and a resident of Crawfordsville many years, Mrs. Gould was born Sept 4, 1862 at New Market, the daughter of William and Catherine Surface Hall. She was married to Grant Gould Sept. 18, 1889. Mrs. Gould was a member of the First Baptist church, and was devoted to her home and the church. She also was well known for her affection for relatives and friends, her home having been the scene of many gatherings. Surviving, besides the husband, are; one son, P.S. Gould of Akron, Ohio, a sister, Mrs. Rose Ferguson of Indianapolis, three nieces, Opal McQuown of the city, Delta Pack of Washington, and Waneta Werner of Indianapolis, two nephews, William VanCleve of Logansport, and Lambert Vancleve of Florida, and a number of cousins. The body was taken to the Hunt and Son funeral home where it will be kept Friday noon when it will be returned to the family residence. Services will be 2:30 pm Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church, with the Rev. Ralph E. Gronseth, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery, - kbz
