Mrs. Christine Rich Gould, 64, widow of Max Gould, died late Wednesday morning at Culver Hospital. She had been admitted to the hospital late Tuesday after suffering a seizure at a sorority party. Mrs. Gould owned and operated Gould's Flowers and Andes Candies Shop which she and her husband established in 1949. The couple had also operated a flower shop on Sloan Street before the husband's death in November of 1964. At the time of her death she lived at 812 W. Pike St. Active in many social organizations of Crawfordsville she was a member and former president of Sigma Zeta Chapter, Pi Omicron National Sorority. She also belonged to the Business and Professional Women's Club, Athens Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Wesley Service Guild and Eagles Auxiliary. Mrs. Gould was a member of the First Methodist Church. A daughter of William G. and Ida Scott Rich, she was born on June 9, 1903, in Macomb, Ill. She completed her grade and high school studies there and then went on to Western Illinois University from which she graduated as a teacher. For several years afterward, she taught in the Illinois school system. On June 12, 1927, she married Max Gould in Chicago. The couple had long planned to open a flower shop, and visited several Indiana cities before deciding on Crawfordsville. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Gladys Pugh of Bushnell, III.; a brother, Harry Rich, also of Bushnell; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Joe David and Mrs. Mary Rich, both of Crawfordsville; three nieces, Mary Ruth David of New York City, Mrs. Mark Mitchell of Ft. Campbell, Ky., and Deborah David of Crawfordsville. Services are pending at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Revs. Frank Little and Larimore Wickett will officiate, and burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. -- typed by Chris M
