Stanley O. Gott, 75, of 821 Third, died at 12:10 p.m.m Wednesday (Sept 11, 1974) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient there a day and ill 14 years. Born Sept 15, 1898, at Mellott, he was the son of Melvin and Estella Strader Gott. On Aug. 23, 1934, he married Eloise Peters, who survives. A resident of Covington 41 years, he had formerly resided in Mellott. He was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker and a former custodian at Covington High. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Covington. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Bentley of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Carole Brooks of Goshen, Ind.; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald Vernon and the Rev. Duane Craycraft officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. Visitation will be at the family residence after 7 tonight and after noon on Friday. Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Friday. The Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
