Paul E. Gott, 83, founder of the Credit Bureau here in 1944 and retired since 1956, died at 6 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital. He had lived at Lane House Nursing Care Center. Mr. Gott was a World War I veteran, serving in the Army, and a 50-year member of Byron Cox Post 72 of the American Legion. He was a past president of the Indiana Collectors Association and Associated Credit Bureaus. Born July 21, 1891, at Washington, Ill., he was a son of John and Elizabeth Frederick Gott. He was educated in the Washington schools. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lynn E. Jones of Washington, Ill. , and two grandchildren, Dave Gott of Pewaukee, Wis., and Carol Dahl of Chicago. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Frank Little will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. – jlr
