Mrs. Clara Ethel Gott, 87, a native of Crawfordsville and member of the First Baptist Church here, died Monday night in Zion Nursing Home at Zion, Ill. She had been ill several months. Born May 18, 1884, she was a daughter of Joseph and Anna Johnson. She married Arthur Gott, who died in 1961. Mrs. Gott had made her home in recent years with a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Bergen of Chicago. Surviving besides the daughter are two sons, Richard N. and Arthur N. Gott of Danville, Ill.; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Louise Peck, is deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. John Carter officiating and burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. – jlr
