LINDEN — Leo E. (Slim) Gosney, 50, business man who has lived in Linden and Lafayette, died Wednesday night in his residence in Orlando, Fla., following an illness of several months. Mr. Gosney had resided in Orlando for the past two years. Born Aug. 24, 1904, in Chrisman, Ill., Mr. Gosney was the son of William and Dicy Light Gosney. He is survived by his widow, Clara Drake Gosney. Mr. Gosney was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Chrisman, Ill.; the Eagles Lodge in Lafayette; the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in Crawfordsville and the Fraternal Order of Police. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the King & Brown Funeral in Linden. Rev. B. K. Johnson will be the officiating minister. Friends may call after noon Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chrisman, Ill., cemetery.
