Gordon - Oliver Perry

Oliver Perry Gordon, only son of George Samuel and Martha Walls Gordon, was born in Montgomery Co., Indiana Oct 22, 1973 and departed this life Sept 7, 1944, at his home near New Maysville. He was married to Martha Eggers Oct 19, 1893. They enjoyed the rare privilege of celebrating their 50 years of wedded life last year. To this union was born 6 children, one dying in infancy. Those surviving with their mother are Charley of North Salem, Clyde of Zionsville, Mrs. Pearl Eggers, Mrs. Edna Day, and Mrs. Geneva Poindexter all of Indianapolis. Also three grandchildren: Bobbie Day, Janet and Billy Gordon. Mr. Gordon had spent his entire life in the vicinity of Roachdale and New Maysville where he had a wide circle of friends. He was a devoted father, a kind friend and a good neighbor and an honest citizen. (Burial at New Maysville, this was not on the obituary, personal information MSW)
