Last Tuesday Mrs. James Gordon dropped dead at her home in Highland. She had just finished washing the breakfast dishes and had started to hang up the dish pan when she fell to the floor and expired almost instantly. Her husband, who was in the adjoining room, hastened to find her already breathing her last. Mrs. Gordon had been in ill health for some months but was able to be about her duties every day. Monday morning she was down town for several hours and seemed if anything to be better than usual. Mrs. Gordon was seventy years of age and had resided in this county most of her life. The funeral took place from the Primitive Baptist Church at ten o’clock on Thursday. The services were conducted by Elder Oliphant. -s
